Adam Post to Present at Community Colleges for Iowa Conference
Join our team at the upcoming Community Colleges for Iowa Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
Principal and Higher Education Leader Adam Post, AIA, WELL AP, will present a session titled 鈥淪trengthening Internal Partnerships to Improve Campus Space Utilization & Support the Whole Student.鈥 Adam will be accompanied by Bill Latour, Vice President, Operations at Des Moines Area Community College, commonly referred to as DMACC.
This session will discuss how DMACC engaged its diverse campus population to develop a strategic facilities master plan that will serve as the framework for district development over the next 10 years.
Learning objectives include:
- Navigating difficult conversations to develop strategies that serve the needs of students from all backgrounds.
- Aligning the efforts of diverse decision makers and users to better meet students where they are.
- Inviting students and staff into a conversation to understand how existing uses and future space design can serve people who haven鈥檛 historically had a voice.
- Transforming physical facilities to meet students鈥 needs for belonging, engagement, and wellbeing.
The session will be held on the third day of the conference, Thursday, December 5, from 8:00 – 9:00 AM.
