Eckhardt鈥檚 background, highly focused on mission-centered clients and with strong ties to the health sciences, naturally merges talents. As both client and designer with institutions such as the University of Washington, her work often straddles both sectors, and she will now have the dual benefit of expanding innovation and providing intersectionality around the medical campus environment and its faculty. Through mentorship, research, design distinction, and open knowledge sharing, Eckhardt strengthens her influential work on key education, equity, and sustainability issues.

After over four decades in healthcare design, David has a storied career, joining 海角社区 in 2021 as part of our acquisition of Seattle-based Salus Architecture, a firm he founded in 2014. At Salus, he facilitated hundreds of healthcare projects and established relationships with clients like Kaiser Permanente, Providence Health/Swedish Health Services, Virginia Mason Medical Center, and EvergreenHealth. In the three years since joining 海角社区, David has used his experience in complex acute and ambulatory care design to drive growth, innovation, and design thinking in the Pacific Northwest, including the new three-story, 130,402 SF residential care center Fircrest Nursing Facility.
