UNC Health Blue Ridge鈥檚 Cancer Center Takes Home Top Construction Prize

(Morganton, N.C., February 16, 2024) 鈥� UNC Health Blue Ridge Cancer Center was awarded a top prize at the annual ABC Carolinas Chapter 2023 Excellence in Construction Awards. The Eagle Award for Healthcare Construction Project ($25 million to $50 million) was recently awarded to the Center at the annual awards gala.

UNC Health Blue Ridge鈥揤aldese is a 35,000-SF health center bringing a higher level of medical expertise to residents of Burke County and surrounding communities. Previously in multiple buildings, this addition and remodel provided oncology services under one roof creating a better experience for patients and staff. The strong belief that personalized care makes the patient experience the most memorable of this advanced, comprehensive, community-based cancer center informed the design. By listening and collaborating with the medical staff, 海角社区 executed a design focused on patient care and functionality without compromising aesthetics.

We are honored to receive this accolade from the ABC Carolinas EIC Awards, acknowledging our exemplary efforts in designing the UNC Health Blue Ridge Cancer Center. Our primary objective was to fashion an environment that transcends the conventional, providing both patients and healthcare providers with a sanctuary of comfort, meticulous care, and serenity. This recognition underscores the success of our endeavor in not only meeting but exceeding the aspirations we set out to achieve.鈥�
