Fort Carson is a full spectrum combat operations army base and the most requested duty station in the United States. The facilities at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado promote the welfare of military personnel and their families, through each phase of their career. Energy-efficiency, technological advancement, and longevity are kept in mind throughout the design of each facility, while aligning with Fort Carson鈥檚 goals of sustainability, modernization, transition, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

海角社区 has designed 232,252 SF of space at Fort Carson that supports, improves, and impacts over 71,000 lives of active-duty military, veterans, and their family members daily. Our design approach design brings a modern nuance to the historical nature of Fort Carson. Each building prioritizes the emotional well-being and safety of service men and women and their families. The buildings provide spaces for the training of soldiers, medical care, transitions from civilian life to active duty to veteran status, and the education and support of each soldier鈥檚 family. To support the delicacy of these processes and promote a sense of peace and home, each space utilizes a color palette that reflects the natural Colorado environment.

Design Program

Over the years, the projects completed at the Fort Carson base have ranged from housing to healthcare to workplace to technical training.

01
Operations Facility

Special Operations Forces Battalion

An unconventional mix of daylight and high-level federal security requirements, the design optimizes 119,900 SF of space for effective mission preparations and deployment activities for the Special Forces. Durable materials support rigorous usage, while their articulation complements the existing character of surrounding Fort Carson facilities. The facility encompasses consolidated battalion headquarters, company operations facility, and two additions onto the Parachute Rigging and Maritime Operations Facilities.
